About Felix

Felix has a strong interest in Engineering and particularly space systems. He enjoys reading about new engineering developments, motivated by the prospect of working alongside inventors operating at the forefront of technology. He is excited by the opportunity to learn about how these new engineering technologies developed by our clients work, whilst also helping to provide the best IP protection for them.

Felix joined the Engineering team at HLK in 2024 after completing his Masters Degree in Aerospace Engineering at the University of Bristol. Following on from his interests he completed a research project within his degree on the Ingenuity helicopter, which conducted the first powered flight on Mars. Felix used the data from this demonstration mission and investigated whether it would be possible to increase the helicopter size to lift a larger payload so it could carry specific scientific instrumentation.

Since starting his training, he has dived in the deep end gaining experience prosecuting UK and European patent applications from his first day and has enjoyed the steep learning curve that has come with it. He looks forward to further challenges ahead and developing his skills and knowledge of IP law.
